On Friday March 11th the Mountain View Bruins lost to the Springville Devils 8-1. The Bruins started out pitching with Brigham Bateman. Brigham during the first inning made it out scoreless. And with bases loaded two outs Brigham got a ground ball to end the inning. The Bruins were unable to get a base hit the first inning. Second inning the Bruins began to fall behind with two walks in the inning the Devil’s got two runs in the inning. The Bruins were unable to respond with the end of their lineup. Relief pitcher, Nate Bingham, came into the game. Third inning was scoreless. Fourth inning the Bruins fell behind, and the Devil’s we're not letting up. Springville Devils scored three more runs. Fifth inning the Devil’s did not stop scoring with hits and walks Springville scored two more runs. Mountain View Bruins were still not able to hit the ball and were scoreless during the fifth inning. The Devil’s scored one more run. The Bruins finally responded with a few hits and were able to score one point during the sixth inning. In the Seventh inning the Bruins played hard, and were able to stop the Devil’s from scoring. The Bruins were held off by the end and did not score. The Bruins take this loss and use it for their advantage learning now they have a score of 1-1. Bruin Baseball team is looking good this year. The next game will be at the Sunshine Tournament on March 18th and 19th.
