Over 100 Bruins competed in Mountain View’s first ever Dodgeball tournament on Friday night. The tournament was a fundraiser for the Boy’s soccer team. The tournament was double elimination, guaranteeing each team two games. The team named Troop 437 was victorious, defeating runner-up Wasatch Threads in an intense game. Wasatch Threads had two senior varsity baseball players, Brigham Bateman and Caleb Moore, who could throw quite the “heated” fastball. Troop 437 was just too much too handle. Clutch catches and dodges from Ricky Stafford, Bryan Goodman, and Todd Goodman, helped Troop 437 claim victory. Troop 437 was very cheerful after beating intra-school rival Wasatch Threads. After the overall success of this year’s tournament, the event looks hopeful to become an annual event.
