The Bruins lost the quarterfinal game against Highland, with a score of 76-64. The Bruins were off to a very slow start against the Highland Rams, at the end of the first quarter the score was 18-8. During the first quarter Ryan Lambson of the Rams had a knee injury. During the second quarter the Bruins tried to lower the lead, and almost getting it under an 8 point lead. But Brigham Bateman was leading the entire game, and lead all the scorers with 35 points. The first half the Bruins were cold, and were only scored 8 points per quarter. Brigham also had 8 rebounds and 4 three pointers. Ricky Stafford was also a key player this game. Ricky had 9 Rebounds and 3 steals. While in the third quarter alone scored 16 points. And in the fourth quarter the Bruins put in 32 points, double what they had scored the entire game. Even when the Bruins gave it their all they came out with a loss. With this loss the Bruins basketball season is over. The Bruins have fought hard all season, and very few expected the Bruins to go this far. The Bruins proved them all wrong. Next season is looking very good for the Bruins even with the seniors gone new players will come, and will take over the Bruins basketball team.
