"A victory will soon unfold..."
By Michael Pimintel and Josh Lindorf
Mountain View beat Orem with a score of 51-46 in one of Utah’s strongest cross-town rivalry games. In the first half the Bruins were struggling to keep up with the Tigers. At halftime, the score was 15-27. During half-time the cheer squad, Orchesis, and Drumline kept the crowd entertained and excited. Bruin crazies cheered very loudly and helped bring a great competitive spirit to the game. Solid defense from the whole team helped keep the Bruins alive. Mountain View made a great comeback, and with 1:30 left in the game the Bruins took the lead and the crazies truly went crazy. Two clutch free throws were made by Kedrick Clayton giving the Bruins a three point lead. Orem tried to make a comeback, but did not succeed. The Bruins won and the crazies stormed the court as time ran out, making a memorable night in Bruin territory. Mountain View saw amazing support tonight, with hundreds of students cheering on valiantly. The Bruin seniors Brigham Bateman, Kent Free, Jake Holland, Brennan Lovelace, and Tyson Wilson had no better way to finish senior night.
