The Bruins played a hard game against a three-peat defending state champions timpview. Despite their best efforts, the Bruins lost 28-0 Timpview. The Bruins started off really well, driving down the field to the five yard line. But got the ball picked off last minute, the Bruins defense showed up and stopped Timpviews strong offence. Making the first quarter scoreless. The Bruins had more of the ball the first half than Timpview, and played an excellent first half. Then the T-Birds made a controversial touchdown. Right before the half they made a 60 yard touchdown pass to make the score 14-0. The Bruins held up very well against the T-Birds the first half. Mountain View lost their starting quarterback in the first half due to an injury, but Morgan Martin, senior, was able to replace Sam Magalei at the position of quarterback. The second half the Bruins came out just as strong, and stopped the T-Birds short of the goal line. Mountain Views offense moved the ball very well, but couldn’t manage to put points on the board. Timpview went on to score two more touchdowns, but the Bruins did not give up. Next Friday the Bruins play their crosstown rivals the Orem Tigers, and are looking to come out with a win.
