By Mason Abbott Utah plays Indiana in the Foster Farms Bowl on Dec. 28th, and BYU is set to play Wyoming in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 21st. Utah had a great season this year up to this point, but coming down to the two last games of the year, they ended with losses vs. Oregon and Colorado.
BYU and Utah have the same records and about the same schedule strength, and neither team got blown out. They both won the games the should have but couldn't find a way to win the games they shouldn't have won. With all that being said, the Utes couldn't get it done.
Utah (8-4) is taking on a pretty good Indiana team that played with every team they lost to, but I have Utah in a close one, 32-30.
For BYU, there's a common opponent here, as Wyoming beat Boise State while BYU fell a point short. But Kalani Sitake's team played a much tougher overall schedule and held its own every time out. BYU's defense will be a deciding factor in a low-scoring affair.
The Cougars have a tough challenge going to play in California tanner mangum will be a huge impact of this game , but I have BYU 26, Wyoming 19.
