The second round of cross-town rivalry soccer between Mountain View and Orem ended in a tie 2-2. Within the first ten minutes, the Tigers scored when they found a gap in the Bruins defense. Mountain View responded quickly with a goal scored by Kade Hernandez. Shortly after this goal, Ryan Vandenbos made a great pass to Efren Taboada which resulted in a second goal for the Bruins. Throughout the remainder of the first half the Bruins continued to have great movement and ball control but could not score another goal.
During the second half, the Tigers put strong pressure on the Bruins defense. They made many attacks on the goal and tied the score at 2-2 with about 12 minutes left in the game. The game went into overtime but neither team could score the winning “golden” goal resulting in a 2-2 tie. The Bruins saw lots of support from the crazies which kept the atmosphere excited and alive.
