The universe is far too big for anyone to actually matter. Depressing right? Don’t stop reading just yet. Humans repeat the phrase “everyone has a purpose” so much, yet no one stops to really ponder our purpose in this life. The impact humans have on the entire universe could literally be so miniscule that it’s not going to leave a big enough effect for any other accumulation of matter, other than earth, to actually be affected.
Humans are destroying the only planet that can currently be inhabited. The planet doesn’t even belong to humans, at least not solely. Animals and plants, who mankind tends to disassociate with, live on the planet alongside humans, but are experiencing mass extinction so quickly that new species cannot adapt or evolve from the ones being killed off. One could say the individuals only purpose is to cause harm to the living beings around him.
Stop pretending any the actions of single human will be so big as to cause the extraterrestrial life forms across the galaxy, or even universe, to be affected in any way. Admittedly, humans have smaller purposes in life, such as saving one’s best friend or loved on from committing suicide or to feed your dog, cat, or fish etc. Bringing new little humans into existence so that they can experience all the natural occurrences that almost every human goes through, with a few exceptions for the extraordinary people actually living their lives. A person might feel so good about themselves because of the position currently held by them in a government somewhere in the world or even a big corporation like Walmart. Everyone dies and the things they did are slowly forgotten and distorted to fit whatever future generations feel was right.
This article is to remind someone out there reading, to not take life too seriously. The embarrassment, anxiety, depression, anger, happiness, and all the other emotions and phases someone might feel are not as important as one might think. The actions of one individual person is not going to do enough to really matter in seven billion years. Stop being so arrogant. Realize that the universe is going to go on even if you fail a test or turn in some paperwork late.
Life is simple and humans overcompensate the meaning of life with too many questions and live their lives worried and stressed. Stop and breathe. Life is not at all that important for someone to be so anxious that their brain won’t function. Our existence is pointless.
