As many seniors are leaving Mountain View, many are wondering how they will pay for tuition and survive on something besides a ramen and water diet. College tuition fees have risen nearly 2 to 5 times as much as it once costed in the seventies. Scholarships are great for this very reason, but not everyone has scholarships.
The high cost of attending college can be looked at as a college budget. To attract more students, more luxuries must be added. The more luxuries bought creates the incessant need for income. That is where the students have to compensate for the university’s lack of logic. College is like a bug zapper. Very appealing in many ways, but you leave scorched and nearly dead with student loans. Colleges don’t need a stadium with 100,000 seats unless they have that many students and most do not have that many students enrolled.
