The most excited time of the year is happening for the upcoming seniors and seniors right now. It is the elections for the next student council and it is freedom for 12th graders. In order to run for the elections you need to get a petition, have a counselor sign it, an administrator, attendance, library, Officer Fredrickson, the financial lady, and lastly, 50 people. Next you will need to make an appointment to have an interview with the one and only Mr. Fieldsted and the Student Body secretary and student body VP, whom this year are Tori Jacobsen and Sarah Hull. In this interview they ask various questions such as how much school spirit you have, to rapping about birth. They look over your achievements, see how well you are at the question and answering phase. In order to get your name out there, you need to make posters. After the Primary elections, those who made it, move on to Red and Gold week. They then are split up into random teams to make a video; do lunchtime activities and plan part of an assembly. A soon to be former student council rep Kolton Rigby says, “ It’s hard but it’s just pure fun; just yesterday it felt like red and gold week, time flies.”
Few that are running:
Darci Atoa-Student body VP
Josh Lindorf-Student body officer
Anna Hadly-Student body officer
Robbie Harker-President
Emi Cano-Student body officer
