There is a vast and extensive list of Genders. There is a lot of diversity in the way people identify themselves. This is important to who they are and the way they view themselves and others around them. The LGBT+ has a complete list of non-binary pronouns that many people prefer. He and She are not the only pronouns and a vast majority of people would prefer to be asked what pronouns they prefer. Although the given pronoun might not be grammatically correct it is still respectful to call them by what they prefer. If this pronoun bothers you or is hard for you to use it would be more than appreciated to ask them if it is okay if you use their name in replacement for a pronoun. An example of this is: Hannah, wanted me to go with Hannah to the doctor’s. In replacement of the Pronoun They: They, wanted me to go with them to the doctor’s. So pronouns make many people uncomfortable and therefore they would like to change them. Please respect this choice to come out. It is a hard thing to love and respect yourself if you are not accepted in a society of people who think there is only a black or white in any given situation. If respect is not given freely they might decide to remove you from their life and that is on you, not them. Remember if it breaths and has a name and walks upright, it is a human. If it is a human then it has a gender, a sex, a pronoun, a preferred name, a sexual orientation. Keep in mind though a person is much more than this. Be kind to your fellow peers in the community.
