Sometimes people just tend to look dirtier than others. There are certain habits some people have that make them look very “un-taken care of”. Although, taking care of your body and reaching to look and smell pleasant seems like a drag, it doesn’t have to be seen as a chore. Taking care of oneself and getting ready every morning to look at least decent can be very satisfying if one simply has the right attitude. Self esteem is very affected when one doesn’t thoroughly wash their hair, body, teeth, hands and feet. Smelling good and looking clean is very rewarding once you try it. That feeling one gets when they are all done getting ready for a formal event such as prom, a wedding, or met gala. Looking at the mirror and liking what you see will make one more confident and outgoing. Everyone who smells good seems to have more friends. Not that the people who don’t keep their hygiene up are any less important or deserve any less friends, because some might have legitimate reasons as to why things like showering may be impossible. Even when money is extremely tight or a tragic event has occurred there are ways to look and feel clean. Personal hygiene can benefit a person with good health. The spread of diseases and infections are much less likely if staying clean and fresh is someone’s top priority. Brushing teeth will leave you with healthier teeth and a clean white smile. Shampooing your hair in the shower will give you healthy hair resulting in better looking hair. Shaving, or at least trimming, facial and bodily hairs will leave you looking more professional and pleasing to the eye. Personal hygiene should be close to the top of everyone’s priority.
