On February 12th, Mountain View hosted its very own men’s pageant called Mr. Mountain View. It exhibited the men and their various talents including dancing, singing, whistling, playing celio, and much more. In order to get the most points on the rubric, you need to do the following: Make a sash of the organization you represent, create a few posters, do a service project, and perform a talent along with going to a lunch in while being interviewed by Mrs. Orem and Mrs. Provo. It came down to a total of 11 guys competing in all the different categories. All the men performed to the best of their ability and got great reactions out of the crowds. With one of the best directors, Carissa Lopez, definitely upped the overall viewing on the pageant. She is by far one of the most selfless and hardworking person for the job. In the next year, they are considering changing some of the rubric and including more of student council. Since 2001 they have gone off of a book called, “The Mr. Mountain View Bible” which consists of all the necessary things needed for the competition. I think it is definitely smart to change some of the outline since we now have many new ways of going about certain manner. Of this being the last time we use the book the original way, Brec Jorgensen did above and beyond that was asked of him and took the title of Mr. Mountain View.
