While deep cleaning their room, Mrs. Hicken found a very interesting and quite humorous note written by past bruin, Tony Blackham, in 2007. The note was made to be read by anyone who found it or picked it up. Little would he know that the note has waited 8 years to be found. The owner of the note could not be contacted but if any Bruin knows any of the names on the note, they are welcome to share the story of the note finding to them. The following is the exact words of the note:
Dear future student, or teacher, or janitor, or garbage can most likely,
My name is Tony Blackham and if you are reading this I am most likely graduated, or dead, depending on how long this school, or behind this cupboard’s cleanliness lasts. These many pens, pencils, and paper are few of the things that have been lost into this abyss be mine own hands. I am currently writing this in my German 3 class. I attended German 1 and 2 in Orem Junior High w/ my teacher who is named Jake Sigafus. I am here to tell you that in all of my german w/ Sigafus - I learned just the same amount if not more there, than in this class. I actually think I am losing my German knowledge. I had learned everything she is teaching me now in Sigafus’s class. I can promise you I have learned next to nothing. I personally hope that if you may be in German now, it’s better than what I had to go through. I also would like to inform you that you are welcome to anything behind this cupboard w/ my regards… but I would advise you to stay away from the string cheese. His friend Brian Day is wicked cool, and he sends his humble regards. I commend you for your willingness to pursue an education! And I wish you the best of luck in your life.
Tony Blackham (Shalyn’s and Andrew’s little bro)
