Seniors Gehrig Stoddard, Karlee Preston, Tori Jacobson, and Colton Rigby from the Mountain View High School Student Council were interviewed. The four were asked questions about this year's 2015-16 Student Council. The four Student Council members were goofy and fun during the interview, but serious about their leadership role at Mountain View High School.
So far, what has been the overall experience on Student Council?
Gehrig Stoddard: It’s so awesome! I love it! I love Student Council and Mountain View. It’s just
super exciting to be able to serve the school.
Colton Rigby: I totally agree with Gehrig, I think it is way fun. I love being part of this school and
What are some Student Council goals for this year?
Tori Jacobson: Our goal is to reach out to everyone. Make sure somebody has someone they
know loves them. Be friends to everyone, notice those who are alone and reach out to them.
Gehrig Stoddard: Make this year better.
In what ways does Student Council work as a team?
Karlee Preston: There is a lot of discussion that goes on. In the Student Council room we have
a big table we sit around which puts us on an equal playing field so everyone has their opinion
heard, we always try to come to a decision that is not necessarily liked by everyone, but
something everyone can agree on.
Gehrig Stoddard: Everyone needs to show up and get their work done no matter if it's their
responsibility or not. Every responsibility is Student Councils. You got to show up and work on
getting it done no matter if it's their job or not.
Colton Rigby: We all have responsibilities, but together we all work on the same team.
What exciting events can students look forward to?
Gehrig Stoddard: Homecoming! Be there!
Karlee Preston: September 12th! 8:30 in the gym $20
Tori Jacobson: Show up!
Colton Rigby: Really every event you should look forward to, whether it's by Student Council or not.
