The MVHS Student Council held Make-A-Wish week in March, all focused on helping a child, raising money and having school spirit.

Throughout the week, student council held many activities like lightsaber limbo, an ice cream catching competition and the spirit bowl. Each day, students could dress up. On Tuesday, it was a tourist day, Wednesday was “woke up like this day,” Thursday was twin day, and Friday was Star Wars day.

On Star Wars day, the school was split up into four groups. The faculty were the Rebels, the freshmen were the Empire, the juniors were the Jedi, and the seniors were the Sith. Each of the four groups competed to win the spirit bowl.

The spirit bowl had many activities such as team jump rope, crab ball, bubble ball soccer and dance-offs. At the end, everyone got together and sang the fight song.

Bruins helped raise more than $6,000 during Make-A-Wish week.
