John Hinton, BYU freshman, was at a get-to-know-you campus party. As a very well known dancer, ballet was one of few passions. At the social party he was attending, there was a giant inflatable bounce house/obstacle course. While running the course he hit his head on one of the inflatable posts and went down hard. Another student watched him go down and immediately got help. He was rushed to the hospital and was unconscious. After waking up in the hospital the doctors already had the result of his injury in. While upon hitting his head, John shattered his spine. Paralyzing him from the neck down, he will never walk or dance again. He is now in a stable condition and has many supporters such as friends, family, and even celebrities such as the well known singer, Alex Boye. The BYU community reaches out to John at this time of recovery.
