-For the canned food drive our goal is 5,000 cans. We need every student to bring 4 cans to reach our goal! The 3 classes with the most cans by the end of the month get breakfast provided by our sponsors! So bring your cans to your A-1 teacher and make a difference! 
-Thanks to all those who applied to be a sterling scholar. We appreciate all the hard work you put into your application and interview. We want to congratulate the winners in the following categories:

All winners need to meet today Wednesday, November 18th during bruin time and lunch (11:55-12:45) with Mrs. Robert in the counseling office. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Robert.
-Want to win movie tickets to see Mockingjay Part 2?  The library is holding a contest this week. Now that the films are complete what should be the next big series? Suggest a book series to read and you will be entered into the drawing. Winners will be announced on Friday November 20th. May the odds be ever in your favor!

-For those who have been accepted to go on art tour, remember that your deposit is due December 18th to the financial office. If you have any questions, talk to Mr.Francis or Mrs. Peery. 

-You've worked hard now get your reward! Stop in the common area during lunch to support your PTSA scholarship and get your candy bar! It takes on "A" to play- stop by today! 
-All American gymnastics is holding a gym show November 21, at 6:00. This show features Mountain views very own Megan and Madison Mcbride and Kim Tessen. It's a fun opportunity to come and see them do what they love. It is a fundraiser event for their meet fees and will be $3 to get in. (Give your money directly to Megan, Madison, or Kim) If you are interested and want more details talk to Megan, Madison, or Kim and they will help you out.
-Oklahoma is coming! It opens this Thursday November 19th and runs Thru Monday, November 22nd. Doors open at 6:15 and the show begins at 7:00 pm. Don't get caught in the cold get tickets early. Tickets are on sale in the financial office for $5.00. The cost goes up to $7.00 at the door. Come see why Mountain View is rated as one of the best performing arts high schools in America.
 - MVHS open lift has started free weight training for any MV student. Tuesday-Friday from 2:45-4:00 pm in the weight room. Coach Wong will be teaching it, take advantage bruins!
-We've changed the date- the first mock trial meeting of the year will be this Friday during lunch in room 213.So if your interested in being an attorney, witness, or bailiff for this year's mock trial team come to room 213 during lunch this Friday. 
-Attention seniors: UVU will be having an open house at the Orem UVU campus on November 19th this Thursday from 6-8pm. The first 150 students will have their app fee waived. Bring your official transcript and ACT scores.

-Seniors interested in applying at SUU and/or UVU. There will be an open house to attend in our area Thursday Nov. 19th. SUU at Utah Valley Convention Center from 6-8 pm. UVU at UVU Ballroom in the student center, 6-8 pm. Be sure to bring your official transcript, driver's license and social security number. You will apply, be admitted, and if you qualify, walk away with an academic scholarship. 
- There's a book club meeting tomorrow November 19th. Come to the library right after flex if you want to join us! and don't forget to pay your $5 fee to the financial office!
-Boys and Girls basketball teams are sponsoring a dinner honoring former MVHS students Travis Hansen and Erin Thorne. Both of these alumni played professional basketball and are being inducted into the MVHS Hall of fame. The dinner is $5 for students and $10 for non-students and will be held on Monday November 30th. They can be purchased from any basketball team member or from Mrs. Arledge. Show Up!
