Following the Orem vs. Mountain View football game, the LIA hosted a dance, Noche de Balie.
Students gathered in the gym to raise money for LIA, and dance to a mix of Latino music.
Students could pre purchase tickets for $3 and the payment was $5 at the door.
“How do you dance to this?” said Jackson Mcbride when one of the Latino songs came on. He then proceeded to simply move his feet and laugh.
Students danced individually, with partners, and in groups to the fast moving music. Students formed circles to allow a few individuals to dance in the middle, and nearing the end of the event, students lined up for a big group dance.
“It was so fun!” said Tristen Noble, a senior at MV. “The music was great and everyone was dancing. There were people doing moves they've never done before. It was actually quite impressive.”
At the end, the LIA presidents spoke and thanked all the students for coming.
The bruins ended with the “Let’s Get Weird” cheer, and students left the gym and went home.
